When making an inquiry by phone or mail you should expect an answer within ten working days. You are also free to visit the Records Office and Archives in person during regular business hours, but you must book an appointment prior to arriving. This can be done by phone or email.

If you plan on visiting the next day, be sure to reserve your visit by noon the day before. Though reading is free, there are small fees for reproductions and photocopies of archive materials. General fees are as follows: 15p to 40p for photocopies and £2.50 to £2.80 for reproductions of records on microfilm.
